Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a Laborer to perform a variety of tasks in a scrap metal yard. You will unload, sort, unpack, and assist with maintenance while learning to operate small equipment and PPE usage.

The role requires reliability, basic math skills, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Qualifications include passing a medical/drug screen and background check; a high school diploma or GED is preferred and foreign education is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must pass medical physical and drug test.
• Background check required.
• HS diploma or GED preferred; foreign education acceptable.
• Ability to communicate and perform basic math as needed.

Responsibilities

• Unloading pallets, boxes, and bundles.
• Material handling and sorting; operate conveyors as needed.
• Unpacking boxes and separating packaging materials.
• Disassembling small equipment and wiring; assist machinery parts.
• Operate or assist with recycling equipment and yard traffic.
• Perform light facility maintenance and housekeeping.
• Keep area clean, organized, and safe; attend shifts reliably.
