Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking laborer personnel to support yard operations in a scrap metal environment. Responsibilities include unloading pallets and boxes, sorting materials, and helping with equipment maintenance. Candidates should be able to work outdoors, follow safety policies, and assist with housekeeping and general tasks as needed.

Qualified applicants will pass a medical and background check; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and basic math and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; foreign education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Unload pallets, boxes, and bundles.
• Handle and sort materials; push, pull, lift, carry, and fill hoppers and conveyor belts.
• Unpack boxes; separate plastics, zip ties, blister packs, and packaging materials.
• Disassemble small equipment; cut wires; torque pipe fittings; remove bolts and parts.
• Operate and assist with recycling equipment (metal shears, band saws, wire strippers).
• Direct yard traffic and maintain area safety and organization.
