SA Recycling is seeking a General Laborer to perform metal processing, sorting, and general housekeeping in a scrap metal yard. The role supports skilled technicians and may progress to more technical tasks as skills develop.

Qualifications

• Medical physical and drug test required.
• Background check required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload pallets, boxes, and bundles.
• Material handling / sorting – pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and filling up hoppers, boxes, and conveyor belts.
• Disassemble small equipment, cut wires, remove bolts and appliance parts.
• Operate recycling equipment for metal processing (shears, band saw, wire strippers).
• Direct yard traffic of vehicles and maintain clean, safe work areas.
