Job summary

MARC, Inc. is seeking a dependable Employment Floater to join our Employment Department. You will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve employment and community goals and develop natural supports.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and good judgment to assist adults in reaching their personal growth goals. Driving is a core part of the position; CPR/First Aid certificates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a license, auto registration, and vehicle insurance as driving is required.
• Knowledge of proactive thinking and positive supports.
• Must be able to complete all essential job duties, minimum qualifications, and physical efforts with or without a disability.
• CPR, First Aid, PMT and Med Certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals participating in employment and transitional programs.
• Assist individuals with developing and maintaining job skills, workplace behaviors, and community skills.
• Support individuals at job sites, volunteer opportunities, community activities, and program locations.
• Encourage independence, choice-making, self-advocacy, and participation.
• Follow individual plans, behavioral support plans, safety procedures, and organizational policies.
• Provide coverage for staff who are absent or when additional staffing support is needed.
• Assist with transportation, when applicable.
• Promote positive relationships between individuals, coworkers, employers, and community members.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, attendance records, and incident reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity and privacy of individuals receiving services.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Career and Employment Services
