Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in Redmond, WA, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer with hands-on Versal bring-up expertise to drive board bring-up and toolchain migrations. You will develop BSPs and drivers for Versal PS subsystems, validate PL integration, and collaborate on platform tools like Vivado, Vitis, Yocto, and EDF.

Onsite work in Redmond is required. Required 3+ years of embedded software experience, C/C++, Python or Rust, and strong debugging skills.

Qualifications

3+ years of embedded software development experience.
Hands-on Versal bring-up experience.
Experience with Yocto and AMD/Xilinx SDK toolchain.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python or Rust.
Experience with hardware and software debugging.
Understanding of Versal boot architecture.

Responsibilities

Bring up the AMD Versal SoC on a custom board using the EVK as reference.
Develop BSP and drivers for Versal PS subsystems (APU and RPU).
Validate PL integration and peripherals including IP instantiation and AXI interfaces.
Collaborate with AMD and Xilinx on platform tools (Vivado, Vitis, Yocto, EDF).
Migrate Vivado toolchain from v2024.2 to v2026.1/v2026.2.
