Russell Tobin is hiring a Verification Specialist for a Remote role, offering a pay rate of $12-$13 per hour and a Monday–Friday schedule (11:00 AM–8:00 PM EST).

You will verify candidate information by contacting academic institutions, employers, and references, document findings accurately, and maintain professional communication throughout the process in a fast-paced environment.

Our client, a background screening and verification services company, is looking to hire a Verification Specialist for a Remote position.

Pay Rate Range: $12-$13 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM-8:00 PM EST

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Make inbound and outbound calls to academic institutions, military organizations, employers, and professional references to verify candidate information.
• Verify employment, education, and leasing application details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain professionalism in all internal and external communications.
• Follow established quality standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure accurate verification results.
• Handle escalated cases involving academic institutions and employers to obtain the required verification information.
• Accurately document information collected during calls and update records in the appropriate systems.
• Navigate multiple computer applications efficiently while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
• Investigate discrepancies, resolve complex verification issues, and use sound judgment when reporting findings.
• Manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and complete verifications within established timelines.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Previous data entry experience and proficiency in data collection and computer applications.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute (WPM).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong grammar and spelling.
• Exceptional active listening skills and the ability to accurately capture and document information.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer applications quickly and efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Persistence and the ability to ask effective questions to obtain accurate information.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and follow assignments through completion.
