Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Senior Manager, Venue Security (Planning & Ops) to lead venue-based security planning and integration across multiple Olympic venues in Los Angeles. The role requires coordinating with public safety agencies, law enforcement, and internal teams to develop comprehensive security plans and ensure compliant operations during Games time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, venue safety/security position.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of personnel supervisory/management experience.
• Experience in cross functional security planning and collaboration.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
• Experience in event security, specifically international, multi-sport events is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with the federal, state or local government is preferred.
• Passion for sports, community engagement, or involvement in large-scale events.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with Safety and Security Team, develop venue-based security plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to create unified security plans.
• Develop and integrate plans for Pre-Games Test Events with key stakeholders.
• Serve as the main point of contact/liaison for the Safety & Security Department with key functional areas.
• Contribute to risk and venue assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to regulations and best practices for event security.
