The Obama Foundation is seeking an Associate, OPC Venue Management to coordinate and execute venue operations for the OPC. You will serve as onsite Venue Manager from planning through execution, partnering with internal teams and hosts to ensure a hospitality-driven experience.

Flexibility for evenings and weekends, end date December 2027, located at the OPC in Jackson Park. This role emphasizes operational excellence, guest care, and cross-team collaboration to deliver high-quality events.

Formación

• 3 years of experience in event operations, hospitality, hotel conference services, or venue operations.
• Regular evening and weekend hours are required based on event schedules; flexibility to adjust to balance coverage.
• Experience supporting onsite event execution or guest services in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and service.
• Frequent mobility across the Center’s campus, indoors and outdoors.
• Experience with event or venue management systems (Infor) and project management systems (Asana) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the Venue Manager during events, overseeing venue operations from load-in to close.
• Coordinate with facilities, security, and visitor experience teams to deliver services per MEOs.
• Partner with the event host, who leads program content and attendee management.
• Manage event spaces and venue operations in real time, including setup and timing.
• Identify and resolve on-site operational issues quickly to maintain a seamless environment.
• Oversee vendor activity to ensure compliance with plans and OPC standards.
• Deliver hospitality that reflects OPC values and welcomes all guests.
