The Obama Foundation in Chicago seeks an Associate, OPC Venue Management to coordinate venue operations for the Obama Presidential Center. You will partner with hosts to drive seamless execution, manage the Museum Event Order, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver hospitality‑driven events from planning through close.

This onsite, term‑based role requires regular evening/weekend hours and ends December 2027, located at Jackson Park.

Formación

3 years of experience in event operations, hospitality, or venue operations.
Regular evening and weekend hours based on event schedules.
Experience supporting onsite event execution in fast-paced environments.
Strong organizational and communication skills with multi‑priority management.
Ability to move across the Center’s campus indoors and outdoors.
Experience with event or venue management systems (Infor) and PM tools (Asana).

Responsabilidades

Manage and vet event intake and scheduling, ensuring feasibility and alignment with OPC guidelines.
Review vendor plans and event logistics with OPC Facilities, Security, and Visitor Experience.
Coordinate with teams to operationalize requirements and execute the Museum Event Order (MEO).
Serve as Venue Manager during events, overseeing load‑in through close and maintaining hospitality standards.
Identify gaps and resolve issues quickly to keep events on track and on brand.
