The Obama Foundation is seeking a Senior Associate, OPC Venue Management to coordinate and execute venue operations for the Obama Presidential Center. You will serve as onsite Venue Manager from planning through execution for complex events, partnering with internal teams and external hosts to ensure a hospitality-driven experience.

Regular evening and weekend hours apply; the role is onsite at the OPC in Jackson Park, with an end date of December 2027.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience in event operations, hospitality, hotel conference services, or venue operations.
• Regular evening and weekend hours are required based on event schedules; flexibility to adjust weekday schedules.
• Experience supporting onsite event execution or guest services in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in real time.
• This role is based onsite at the Obama Presidential Center and requires mobility across the campus.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and vet event intake and scheduling, including reviewing requests for feasibility.
• Partner with event hosts to review and confirm event details, ensuring alignment with standards.
• Review vendor plans and event logistics provided by the host for compliance.
• Coordinate with Facilities, Security, and Visitor Experience teams to operationalize requirements.
• Identify gaps, risks, or conflicts and resolve them in advance of the event.
• Serve as the Venue Manager during events, overseeing operations from load-in to close.
• Coordinate with teams to deliver services in alignment with Museum Event Orders (MEOs).
• Partner with the host who onsite leads program content and attendee management.
• Manage spaces and operational flow, transitions, and timing in real time.
• Oversee vendor activity onsite and ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Deliver a high standard of hospitality reflecting OPC values for all guests.
• Contribute to venue management processes and cross-team coordination.
