Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in operating a high-profile venue in Grand Rapids. The role oversees all staff, ensures compliance with food, safety and alcohol policies, and coordinates events from setup to breakdown.

The successful candidate will lead teams, manage schedules, and analyze financial reports including budgets and P&L statements. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree and 3–4 years in contract foodservice management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3–4 years management experience in contract foodservice or 4–5 years in suites/premium operations
• Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with Legends leadership and executive clients
• Strong leadership and management skills; able to lead, motivate and develop teams
• Knowledge of accounting policies, procedures and understanding of P&L statements
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; POS systems experience
• Flexibility to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall effective management of venue operations
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service policies and safety standards
• Oversee events from setup through breakdown and coordinate with staff, clients, and guests
• Generate and analyze financial reports including budgets, forecasts, labor and product costs
• Review contracts and assist in implementing approved terms
• Manage scheduling and labor allocation to ensure proper staffing
• Collaborate on ticket sales analysis and staffing needs for events
