Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Operations Coordinator for the Greater Columbus Convention Center. You will assist with day-to-day operations of the building, oversee setup/tear-down, risers, chairs, stages, and ensure cleanups during events.

You’ll manage inventory, equipment upkeep, and partner with management and HR on staffing and discipline. The role requires prior supervisory experience in a large venue, ability to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends), and strong

Qualifications

• 2 years custodial/janitorial/meeting set experience preferred.
• Experience in hotels, hospitals, offices, or event requisition conversion relative to a commercial facility is a plus.
• Able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Must be able to climb stairs.
• Must communicate well and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Supervises set-up/tear-down of meeting rooms.
• Supervises set-up of risers, chairs and stage for events.
• Supervises clean up of convention or trade show floor.
• Supervises booth and floor clean up during event.
• Responsible for stock and equipment inventory.
• Responsible for equipment upkeep and repair.
• Perform basic operational duties as a working supervisor.
• Responsible for hiring steps including interviewing and onboarding.
• Directs, supervises and schedules all aspects of operations with management.
• Administers disciplinary actions in coordination with HR.
