Oak View Group, a leader in live entertainment infrastructure, is hiring a Part-Time Cook for our venue in Des Moines. You will assist in food prep, cooking with standard kitchen equipment, and ensuring sanitary, organized workstations for fast-paced events.

The role pays $22.00 per hour and offers benefits like a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. A flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is required to support event-based operations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of previous kitchen or food prep experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Familiar with convection ovens, fryers, steamers.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of food to function areas.
• Assist with cooking (frying) of food products.
• Prepare sauces and soups.
• Follow a prep list created by chefs.
• Prepare cooking ingredients.
• Plate dishes as directed and ensure proper storage.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen.
• Communicate with staff and purveyors in diverse situations.
• Support supervisors and chefs as needed.
