Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking a Fund Investment Associate to join its investment team in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Associate will evaluate and monitor venture capital fund investments, perform manager due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and industry research, while leveraging AI tools to enhance the investment process.

You will work closely with a seasoned investment team in a fast-paced environment and contribute to investment analyses, reports, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance, technology, management consulting, or a similarly analytical field.
• Strong qualitative research and quantitative analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including analytical functions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on prospective and existing venture capital fund investments.
• Evaluate investment managers, fund strategies, performance, portfolio construction, and market positioning.
• Monitor existing fund investments and portfolio updates.
• Research venture capital, technology, and startup industry trends.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative investment data to support investment decisions.
• Work with AI-enabled investment tools to maintain data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
• Develop and maintain investment analyses, reports, and research.
• Support the broader investment team across portfolio and strategic initiatives.
