DLA Piper in San Diego seeks multiple junior to senior associates for its Emerging Growth & Venture Capital group. You will work with emerging growth companies and investors, handling venture financings, M&A, and routine corporate matters.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant experience, JD from an accredited law school, and admission to practice in the relevant state. Hybrid work with Pro bono opportunities and senior collaboration are offered.

Formación

• JD from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in the state of office.
• At least 2 years of Emerging Growth/Venture Capital experience plus experience with M&A.
• Experience representing investors and issuers in venture financings and day-to-day corporate matters.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct legal research to support transaction strategy and prep.
• Draft legal documents including briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
• Manage complex transactions from inception to closings and related activities.
• Maintain regular client updates and professional communication.
• Collaborate with lawyers and business professionals on case strategies.
• Attend hearings, depositions, negotiations, and trials as needed.
• Ensure compliance with laws and firm policies, and stay current on precedents.
• Engage in ongoing training to enhance legal knowledge and leadership skills.
• Participate in firm programs and pro bono initiatives as appropriate.
