Mintz, a leading Am Law 100 firm, seeks an associate with 4+ years of transactional VC and emerging companies experience to support our Venture Capital & Emerging Companies practice in Boston. The role involves drafting investment agreements, mentoring junior attorneys, and advising startups on daily corporate matters.
Ideal candidates will be admitted in NY or MA, be proficient with capitalization tables and Excel, and bring a tech-forward approach to legal work.
Qualifications
- JD or LLM from ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted or eligible for admission in New York or Massachusetts.
- Minimum of four years of venture capital and emerging company practice experience.
- Knowledge of Excel and capitalization tables.
- Technology-forward approach with hands-on proficiency with legal AI tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating venture capital investment agreements.
- Supervising, training and mentoring associates in VC financing and emerging company matters.
- Advise emerging companies on day-to-day operations, including board/stockholder communications and approvals, and equity awards.
