Job summary

A leading law firm in Boston is seeking a Venture Capital & Emerging Companies Associate with at least 4 years of experience. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating investment agreements and mentoring junior associates. The role requires excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. A JD or LLM from an accredited law school is essential. The salary range is $310,000 to $365,000, and the position is bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Must be admitted or eligible for admission in Massachusetts.
• A minimum of four years of venture capital and emerging company practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating venture capital investment agreements.
• Leading negotiations of key terms of all venture capital investment agreements.
• Supervising, training, and mentoring associates in venture capital financing.

Skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of Excel and capitalization tables

Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
