Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Ventilated Patient (Field Clinician) to deliver specialized care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will blend hands-on care, education, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Responsibilities include assessments, discharge planning, equipment instruction, and documenting care while complying with HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure or related field.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license where required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced knowledge of ventilators and HME equipment and guidelines.
• Conduct assessments, review patient records and care plans, and report to physicians.
• Assist with discharge planning for ventilator-dependent patients returning home.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator use and equipment handling.
• Document care activities, outcomes, and plans in company systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation and comply with training and safety protocols.
