Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Current state licensure as an RT (RRT or CRT).
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with ventilator management in acute/subacute or long-term care.
• Strong communication and teamwork; infection control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy for residents on mechanical ventilation and other needs.
• Initiate and adjust ventilator settings per physician orders.
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management.
• Conduct respiratory assessments and document findings in EMR.
• Respond to ventilator alarms and respiratory emergencies.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory care and safety.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment per safety standards.
• Participate in care plan meetings and QA activities.
• Adhere to infection control and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on individualized plans.
