Job summary

Avenue at Broadview Heights is a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist for full- and part-time night shifts. You will provide specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent residents and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.

The role requires an RT license in the state, graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, and experience with ventilator-dependent patients.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of employment.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Experience with ventilator-dependent patients required.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to ventilator-dependent residents.
• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and respiratory equipment.
• Perform respiratory assessments and administer prescribed treatments.
• Provide tracheostomy care and support ventilator weaning as ordered.
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and changes in resident condition.
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and resident responses.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
