Job summary

Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to lead ventilator management, chest physical therapy, and pulmonary testing within an acute care setting. You will assess patient status, document treatment effects, and ensure safe, high-quality care across age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• License to practice in Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT preferred).
• Maintains current BLS; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred; obtain BLS if not on hire.
• Two years of acute care Respiratory Therapy experience preferred; neonatal/pediatric experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers and manages ventilator care and related modalities; monitor and adjust settings.
• Performs chest PT, postural drainage, and incentive therapies as indicated.
• Conducts bedside spirometry and other pulmonary function tests as ordered.
• Assesses respiratory status, documents therapy, and evaluates patient response.
• Maintains complete patient and department records; supports education activities.

Credential: CRT/RRT

Massachusetts licensure

Basic life support (BLS)

ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications

Neonatal/pediatric experience (pref)
