Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapy license required.
• RRT or CRT credential required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer prescribed respiratory therapies (oxygen, bronchodilators, chest physiotherapy).
• Perform routine and emergency tracheostomy care; monitor ventilator settings and participate in weaning protocols.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and perform CPR as needed.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Document patient care and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Maintain respiratory equipment and monitor supplies; communicate with teams.
