Job summary

VIP Medical Group is seeking a qualified Medical Sonographer for our Torrance, CA location. The role focuses on diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound, DVT exclusion, and post-procedure scans within a minimally invasive treatment setting.

The candidate will prepare rooms, perform scans, document notes in the EMR, and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient privacy while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical Sonography.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Sonographer.
• Certification: Certified Medical Sonographer.
• RVT or RVS preferred.
• EMR systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT scans, and post procedure scans.
• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Medical intakes.
• Enter medical notes in our EMR system.
• Use sterile technique for procedure set up and prep patients for procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
• Properly care for Ultrasound equipment and notifies the office if there are any issues.
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team.
