Job summary

States Industries is seeking a Hardwood Veneer Grader at the panel plant in Eugene, OR. You will grade hardwood veneers and Import Core/Lauan according to HPVA, ANSI, and company standards to ensure quality.

The role involves reporting in the D365 system, printing tickets, and communicating grade concerns to purchasing management. The position operates on a swing shift (3:30 PM–2:00 AM), Monday–Thursday, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and meeting production quality goals in a busy warehouse

Qualifications

• Three to six months of experience handling hardwood veneer preferred.
• Experience grading hardwood veneer or plywood preferred.
• Experience with D365 or a similar system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and apply veneer grading standards (HPVA/ANSI).
• Grade and separate veneers and Import Core/Lauan by grade.
• Report grading orders in D365 accurately.
• Print veneer tickets based on grade and quantity.
• Identify grain sides and mark veneer loads by grade.
• Maintain running and total veneer counts throughout grading.
