Job summary

Swanson Group in Springfield, MA, is seeking an LPC Cleanup role to keep the plant clean and safe while meeting production levels. You will monitor quality, perform routine cleaning, and follow safety protocols in a fast-paced mill environment.

The position requires operating tools such as a chipper, saw, air hose, and forklift when needed, with emphasis on lockout/tagout, PPE use, and adherence to safety training. Training may include cross-training in related tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant cleaning and following safety procedures.
• Ability to use PPE and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Willingness to operate and maintain industrial tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean up sawdust, chips, veneer, bark with tools and equipment.
• Unplug jams and inspect conveyors and chippers.
• Report broken machinery and oil leaks to Supervisor.
• Operate the chipping system.
• Empty waste boxes into dumpsters and maintain catch basins.
