Job summary

Swanson Group in Oregon is seeking a Green End Utility to support safe, efficient veneer production. You will assist forklift operations, help load/unload and perform plant cleanup, with rotation across machine centers as needed.

Working shifts include day, swing, and graveyard; wage level is 2/3. This role demands readiness to operate centers safely, follow lockout procedures, and participate in cross-training to facilitate production.

Qualifications

• Must perform ADA essential functions as part of the role.
• Essential tasks include loading/unloading veneer and coordinating breaks.
• Must follow safety procedures and machine lockout protocols.
• Cross-train to support multiple machine centers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist forklift driver on breaks and transport veneer to yard.
• Off-load stacker outfeed and load composers and banding station.
• Perform general veneer plant cleanup per supervisor instruction.
• Coordinate break rotations and operate machine centers safely.
• Clear jams and assist operators; use various hand tools as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance and aid millwrights when required.
• Fill in for operators and rotate to other positions for training.
