Swanson Group in Springfield, MA is seeking a Green End Utility to support green veneer production. The role requires assisting forklift operations, loading and unloading, and cross-training across machine centers to maintain safe, efficient plant flow.

Shifts run 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Day), with swing and graveyard options; wage is Level 2/3. Candidates should follow strict lockout/tagout procedures and wear required PPE for daily plant tasks.

Qualificações

• Must have excellent hand eye coordination.
• Reading and speaking required to communicate comprehension of Job Hazard Analysis, machine-specific lockout procedures, safety trainings.

Responsabilidades

• Help forklift driver on breaks and transporting green veneer to the veneer yard, off-loading the stacker outfeed and loading the composers and banding station.
• Perform general veneer plant cleanup as directed by supervisor.
• Responsible for coordinating break rotations and operating all machine centers safely.
• Clear jam ups at each machine center and assist operators when jams occur.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines and assist millwrights with repairs.
• Fill in for operators of all machine centers as needed.
• Rotation to different positions for cross-training or production facilitation as designated by supervisor.
