Job summary

Swanson Group in Roseburg, OR is seeking a Weekend Blow Down Crew member to perform cleanup throughout the mill and planer. You will help maintain a safe work environment and maximize production, working closely with the Clean Up Lead and other teams.

This 10-hour shift position requires stamina and the ability to operate basic cleanup tools, follow safety procedures, and keep aisles clear. Wage is to be determined.

Qualifications

• Requires excellent hand-eye coordination and good reading and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and make necessary decisions.
• Must follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean up sawdust, chips, shavings, and debris around machinery.
• Identify and save usable lumber pieces.
• Feed unusable boards into the chipper and clear conveyor jams.
• Report broken machinery and oil leaks to maintenance.
• Keep aisles and catwalks clear; empty waste boxes into dumpsters.
