Job summary

You will collect marketplace information and serve as a knowledge resource on technology options for the organization. You will advise on vendor offerings, interact with vendors to resolve escalations, and plan for future product releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
• Two (2) years of relevant technical or business work experience.
• General understanding of project management and software development life cycles.
• Thorough understanding of fundamental tools and concepts of one IT team.

Responsibilities

• Manages the relationships between MTS and external vendors.
• Administers the contracts with hardware and software vendors.
• Collects information about external marketplaces and shares knowledge with the organization.
• Provides information and advice about technology vendors, offerings, and options.
• Interacts with vendors to resolve escalated problems and plan for future releases of software.
• Resolves complaints or adjust mistakes regarding products or services.
• Monitors progress and performance of vendor services based on statements of work.
• Manages statements of work for contracted labor.
• May perform simple negotiations with established vendors.
