Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Vendor Relations Leader in the United States to guide a small team in reviewing vendor compliance data and driving performance improvements. You will coordinate with buyers, finance, and supply chain partners to translate data into actionable improvements and maintain high standards across scorecards and incidents.

The role emphasizes data interpretation, root-cause analysis, and collaborative problem solving with senior leadership to optimize vendor operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years’ supervisory experience in retail, vendor relations, or supply chain preferred.
  • Experience reviewing vendor compliance data and scorecards.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights.
  • Ability to develop research strategies and identify root causes.
  • Analytical proficiency for business opportunity identification and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Burlington merchandise operations.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and challenging vendor situations.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to support change management and create process reference materials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3–5 direct reports reviewing vendor compliance data
  • Identify opportunities to improve vendor performance
  • Meet regularly with vendors and buyers to improve performance
  • Assign team research projects, review findings, and share results with vendors and merchants
  • Facilitate vendor meetings explaining operational guidelines and improvement actions
  • Coach, engage, develop, recognize, and retain team associates
  • Lead onsite and offsite vendor meetings to review scorecards and compliance performance
  • Advise on operational solutions to address current issues and prevent future incidents
  • Serve as the point of contact for vendor questions and concerns
  • Coordinate with buyers and cross-functional teams including DCs, Finance, Merchandise Processing, PO Tracking, and Supply Chain
  • Develop business solutions with senior leadership
  • Interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Develop and implement research strategies to identify root causes of vendor issues
  • Monitor team responses for accurate and timely processing and communication
  • Review incident reporting and elevate issues as needed
  • Help establish and maintain departmental SLAs and KPIs
  • Oversee maintenance, organization, and documentation of team work processes
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Burlington merchandise operations
  • Support departmental projects and change management initiatives
  • Create reference materials and explain process requirements to key vendors
