Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Vendor Management Analyst to support vendor relations, contract negotiations, and business process improvement across multiple jurisdictions. The role emphasizes collaboration with vendor personnel, IT partners, and cross-functional teams to optimize performance and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities include escalation management, KPI tracking, and developing strategic vendor roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field is required; five (5) years of related work experience in lieu of degree accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and may enhance suitability.
• Strong vendor management, data analysis and communication skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support day-to-day operations across vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships; escalate and resolve issues with partners.
• Direct strategic reviews and planning sessions when applicable.
• Serve as executive escalation point for Duke and vendors; propose solutions when needed.
• Share best practices across Duke call centers (internal and external).
• Address performance opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
