Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Vendor Management Analyst to act as a liaison between business and IT for third‑party vendors. You will support vendor relations, contract negotiations, and business process improvements across multiple groups and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include strategy optimization, performance management, and executive escalation when needed, with emphasis on minimizing risk and driving cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field required; five years of related work experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience in utility or large enterprise environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide vendor strategy and day-to-day operations across multiple vendors.
• Escalate and resolve vendor performance issues and ensure contract adherence.
• Lead reviews with vendor leadership and ensure alignment with Duke goals.
• Provide data-driven insights to leadership on vendor performance and risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement improvements in vendor processes.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and cost controls for vendor programs.
