Job summary

Offchain Labs in the United States seeks a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team. You’ll own vendor payments and billing operations end-to-end, ensuring timely processing and accuracy, while coordinating with Legal and Finance to onboard vendors and maintain records.

You’ll work cross-functionally to resolve billing issues, support month-end close, audits, and help build scalable payments processes as the company scales, with emphasis on workflow improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, billing, finance operations, or related roles.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers and data.
• Experience processing invoices and payments in an AP or billing system.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear, professional communication with internal teams and vendors.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and financial systems (ERP, AP tools, expense platforms).
• High integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
• Organized, reliable, proactive problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day vendor payments and billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Process and review invoices, verify approvals, and manage payment runs.
• Support vendor onboarding, including collecting documentation and coordinating with Legal and Finance.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and payment data across systems.
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve billing issues, discrepancies, and payment inquiries.
• Support month-end close activities related to AP and payments.
• Assist with audit requests, documentation, and controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Help document processes and contribute to scalable payments operations.
