Job summary

Macy's in New York is seeking a Merchandising Associate, also known as a Vendor Paid Merchandiser, to drive sales and execute strategic merchandising initiatives within the store. You will suggest vendor products and maintain high merchandising standards to create a memorable shopping experience for customers.

Flexibility is required to work nights, weekends and holidays. You will collaborate with store teams, share product knowledge, analyze trends, and communicate customer needs to leadership

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year previous retail experience.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by sharing product knowledge, trends and style inspiration
• Merchandise new deliveries from vendor(s) and follow brand-specific merchandise execution guides and standards
• Communicate customer needs and shopping patterns on a regular basis to store leadership and vendor(s)
• Work with store teams to drive best practices for sales and execution
• Ensure sales floor is properly signed for sales and markdowns
• Follow store's audit policies and procedures
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
