Job summary

Affim is seeking a transactional attorney to join the Vendor Legal team. You will negotiate a wide range of vendor agreements, draft robust templates, and provide practical guidance across Procurement, Financial Partnerships, and Engineering. You will help design scalable processes and upcoming playbooks to increase efficiency.

You will partner with stakeholders as a strategic business ally, build training resources, and support a high-growth tech environment focused on revenue and risk balance.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar membership in good standing (US state)
• 5+ years of transactional experience in-house at tech company or top law firm
• Exceptional drafting skills
• Experience in marketing tech, adtech, fintech, payments, or financial services
• Experience supporting global or multi‑jurisdictional transactions (Canada/US/UK-EU/Australia)
• Strong knowledge of data protection and privacy regimes (CCPA, GDPR, APPs, PIPEDA, GLBA)
• Ability to manage high deal volume while maintaining quality
• Track record of building or improving legal processes, playbooks, templates, or other tools
• Clear, concise communication; collaborative cross‑functional partner
• Curiosity, problem‑solving, and bias for action
• Humility and integrity

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of vendor agreements across marketing tech, tech services, cloud, SaaS, data platform, contractor, lease, and payment processing engagements
• Design, implement, and improve playbooks, templates, and negotiation guides to scale operations
• Work with Procurement, Financial Partnerships, Engineering, Product, Finance, InfoSec, Privacy, and others to provide practical guidance
• Serve as a proactive business partner to stakeholders across the organization
• Develop and deliver training/resources to empower partners to self-serve on routine legal matters
