Job summary

Affim seeks a practical, proactive transactional attorney to join our Vendor Legal team. You will negotiate a broad range of vendor agreements and help design scalable processes in a high-growth, tech-driven environment.

This role focuses on partnering with Procurement, Financial Partnerships, and cross-functional teams to drive business velocity while managing risk. You will develop training and resources to empower business partners to self-serve on routine commercial legal matters, improving

Qualifications

• JD and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of relevant transactional experience in-house at a tech company or top law firm.
• Exceptional drafting skills.
• Experience in marketing tech, adtech, fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Experience supporting global or multi-jurisdictional transactions (Canada, US, UK/EU, Australia).
• Strong knowledge of data protection and privacy regimes (CCPA, GDPR, APPs, PIPEDA, GLBA).
• Proven ability to manage high deal volume with quality and efficiency.
• Experience building or improving legal processes, playbooks, templates, or other tools.
• Clear, concise communication, ability to distill complex issues.
• Collaborative, cross-functional partner.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of a wide range of vendor agreements (marketing tech, technology services, cloud, SaaS, data platform, contractor, creative, lease, payments).
• Design, implement, and improve playbooks, templates, and negotiation guides to scale operations.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Financial Partnerships, Engineering, Product, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, and other teams for practical guidance.
• Act as a proactive strategic business partner to stakeholders across the organization.
• Develop and deliver training to empower partners to self-serve on routine legal matters, increasing capacity.
