Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Vendor Oversight Specialist to oversee a network of third-party providers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The role involves reviewing vendor documents, maintaining the vendor management system, and escalating issues as needed.

You will manage ongoing vendor reviews, communicate with vendors, coordinate invoices, and support audits and remediation efforts within a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year in financial services, mortgage servicing, auditing, compliance or vendor management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio) and able to manage multiple tasks in a regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee a network of third-party service providers and monitor compliance with policies and regulatory guidelines
• Review and track vendor documents throughout the oversight lifecycle and update contracts/compliance docs
• Escalate issues to leadership when required and coordinate remediation plans
• Maintain the vendor management system and ensure timely notifications and status reports
• Coordinate vendor invoices and ensure accurate processing within the department
• Act as first point of contact for vendors and communicate updates and required compliance items
• Support site audits and respond to exceptions with timely remediation actions
• Perform due diligence on new vendors and document evaluations for approvals
• Compile information for onboarding and potential new service providers
• Log consumer complaints and collaborate with business areas for remediation
• Assist with ad hoc vendor management projects as requested
