Job summary

Envirotest, the operating subsidiary of Opus Inspection, seeks a full-time Assistant Manager for the Maryland VEIP facility in Prince Frederick. You will assist the Station Manager, help supervise station operations, and ensure safety, cash handling, and public relations are upheld.

The role requires strong communication, prior supervisory and customer service experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Flexible schedule, 40 hours weekly, with daytime hours in Prince Frederick, MD.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of test procedures.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent with higher education desirable.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and in writing.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communications.
• Excellent organization skills with keen attention to detail.
• Must be able to communicate politely with the general public.
• Previous customer service and cash-handling experience required.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing the inspection station in accordance with company objectives.
• Shares accountability for station operations, including troubleshooting, cash handling, and scheduling rests.
• Assumes the station manager's responsibilities in their absence.
• Ensures good public relations between the Company, employees and the community.
• Assists in opening and closing the facility.
• Ensures safety and protection for customers and employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Station Manager and/or District Manager.
