Job summary

Envirotest, a Maryland VEIP facility, seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Station Manager in Annapolis/Prince Frederick operations. The role is full-time with flex hours, daytime schedule, and on-site work in Prince Frederick, MD.

Compensation is $19.00 per hour with a benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision and 401(k). The successful candidate will supervise staff, handle cash, and ensure safety and public relations.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of test procedures.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent with higher education desirable.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Cash-handling experience required.
• Public/customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the inspection station to meet objectives.
• Share accountability for station operations including troubleshooting, cash handling, scheduling breaks.
• Assume station manager responsibilities in their absence.
• Maintain good public relations with the community and staff.
• Assist with opening and closing the facility.
• Ensure safety for customers and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Station Manager and/or District Manager.
