Mobile Civil Service is seeking a skilled professional for maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicular equipment. The role requires completion of an apprenticeship or trade school in automotive or diesel repair and at least one year of journeyman-level experience in related areas.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid driver's license; some positions may require a Commercial Driver's License before the six-month working test period.

Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test. And completion of an apprenticeship or trade school program in automotive or diesel repair, and a minimum of one year journeyman level experience in maintenance and repair in one of the following areas: (1) automotive/light truck/miscellaneous; (2) medium/heavy truck or (3) construction equipment; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence. May be required to work overtime. The Mobile Area Water & Sewer System requires Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements, including air brake endorsement, be obtained prior to completion of the six month working test period.
