Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a Vehicle Test Operations Lead at the Moses Lake Test Site. You will manage a team building and operating vehicle test facilities, ensuring safety and reliability while enabling rapid testing and iteration.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical and electronic systems, test procedures, and real-time data analysis. You will relocate to Moses Lake, WA and lead projects with cross-functional teams to advance our Nova launch vehicle program.

Qualifications

• Requirements include a strong foundation in mechanical/aerospace fundamentals.
• 5+ years in rocket test operations with on-console engineering support.
• 2+ years in a team lead or people management role.
• Experience designing fluid systems (P&ID, line sizing, component specs).
• Hands-on with mechanical/electronic systems and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design/build of fluid, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems for test applications.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot test facilities to ensure high uptime.
• Create sustainable engineering processes and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure safe operation around high pressure, cryogenic, and hazardous environments.
• Provide mentorship, run performance reviews, and support site operations.
