Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2+ years as mechanic helper or related training/education.
• Able to calculate basic math.
• English speaking, reading and writing.
• 2 ASE certificates or Hawaii license preferred.
• Type 3 Hawaii driver's license with valid record.
• Own basic hand-tools for repair tasks.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays.
• Knowledge of basic shop equipment and safety.
• Ability to diagnose and assist under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist 1st class mechanics with repairs.
• Supervise and train underclass technician.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical discrepancies as capable.
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Generate daily work orders documenting tasks completed.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop area.
• Other related duties as assigned.
