Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified vehicle technician at Uxbridge Workshop on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £60k including overtime. Working hours are full time with a rotating shift pattern, 39.5 hours per week.

You will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, use your own toolkit, and have access to modern workshop equipment. A UK driving licence is required, preferably with HGV/trailer experience.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 3 qualification in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent.
• Proven Vehicle Technician experience on a wide range of vehicles (LCV/HGV).
• Own toolkit for standard repairs and maintenance.
• Full manual UK driving licence (preferably HGV with trailer experience).
• Flexible to service demands and shift rota requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
• Use your own personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of light/heavy goods vehicles.
• Access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in a modern, fully equipped workshop.

We're recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic at UxbridgeWorkshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £60k including overtime.

Working Hours: Full time

• - 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks) (rotating shift pattern; weeks 1 and 2: 06:00
• - 14:24, and week 3: 10:00
• - 18:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays 06:00
• - 14:24 (with a weekday day off)

• - You'll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
• - You'll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
• - You'll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.

A bit about you

• - Qualified mechanic: you're fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You've got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• - Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
• - Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
• - High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
• - Flexible to service demands: you're able to work on a flexible shift rota. You're always willing to support your team where necessary.
