Job summary

Iconma LLC is recruiting a Vehicle Technician for a client site in Miami, FL. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, performing diagnostics, and ensuring readiness for demonstrations and tests in a lab setting.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of technician experience, familiarity with CAN diagrams, soldering, and a strong, communicative team player attitude. A technical automotive background in a lab or engineering context is preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods, parts, tools and materials.
• 2–4 years of technician experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in automotive engineering or research labs preferred.
• CAN wiring diagrams and soldering knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support readiness of fleet vehicles and lab operations.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics as part of the lab team.
• Configure, set up and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road use.
• Coordinate with Shop Foreman to ensure vehicles are ready for demonstrations and testing.

Job description

Our client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Vehicle Technician for their Miami, FL location.

Responsibilities:

• Support the readiness of fleet vehicles.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and contribute towards the operations of the lab. This includes scheduled service, diagnostics, repair coordination, lab space fit/function, and general upkeep.
• Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road usage.
• Sync with Shop Foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a “ready” state for demonstration and testing requirements
• Perform diagnostics and elevate to the appropriate engineering team if required
• Coordinate and drive the repair process
• Create diagnostic test plans as the team sees fit
• Maintain service records and document quality field reports
• Maintain shop facilities, ensure tools are in order, and workspace is in excellent working condition
• Assist with parts inventory, location, and organization
• Build an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
• Minimum of 2 - 4 years of technician experience
• Reliable, self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethos
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables
• Team player
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Experience in an automotive-focused engineering or research lab (i.e. Dyno, Battery, etc.)
• Knowledge of CAN, wiring diagrams and soldering preferred
• Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair
• Must be honest, responsible and an outstanding communicator
