Job summary

ICONMA, LLC is assisting an AV Manufacturing client in Foster City, CA to hire a Vehicle Technician. You will support fleet readiness, perform maintenance and repairs, set up and diagnose vehicles, and document service reports for internal teams.

The role requires 2–4 years of technician experience, a High School diploma or GED, and strong communication. Forklift operation and ability to lift 50 lbs are required. This is a full-time on-site position offering health benefits.

Job description

Our client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Vehicle Technician for their Foster City, CA location.

Responsibilities:

• Support the readiness of our fleet vehicles. The vehicle technician will perform maintenance, repairs, and contribute towards the operations of our lab. This includes scheduled service, diagnostics, repair coordination, lab space fit/function, and general upkeep.
• Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road usage.
• Sync with Shop Foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a “ready” state for demonstration and testing requirements
• Perform diagnostics and escalation to the appropriate engineering team if required
• Coordinate and drive the repair process
• Create diagnostic test plans as the team sees fit
• Maintain service records and document quality field reports
• Maintain shop facilities, ensure tools are in order, and workspace is in excellent working condition
• Assist with parts inventory, location, and organization
• Build an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
• Minimum of 2 - 4 years of technician experience
• High School/GED is required
• Reliable, self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethos
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables
• Team player
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Must be honest, responsible and an outstanding communicator
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit/stand for extended periods (8+ hours) depending on the equipment type.
• Forklift and/or gantry operation is required.
• Client will provide all forklift operator training and certifications compliant with Cal/OSHA standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an automotive-focused engineering or research lab (i.e. Dyno, Battery, etc.)
• Knowledge of CAN, wiring diagrams and soldering preferred
• Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair
