Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer in Sunnyvale to own the reliability stack for vehicle software. You will write production-quality code in Python, C++, or Rust and build tooling for observability, incident management, and automation.

You will collaborate with software, field, and operations teams to diagnose issues, improve performance, and shape the SRE approach for vehicle-centric systems as we scale with partners. On-site collaboration with field teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Produce production-quality code in Python, C++, or Rust.
• Experience building reliable, scalable systems for vehicle software.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve tooling, automation, observability, and incident-management processes for vehicle software reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, field teams, and operations to diagnose reliability issues and improve system performance.
• Own hands-on debugging across Linux, logs, metrics, traces, and production data.
• Develop reliability improvements that reduce manual intervention and speed up detection and recovery.
• Support vehicle-centric operations including safety-operator tools and partner programs.
