Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a Senior Vehicle Software Integration Engineer to lead the integration of in-house software with supplier ECUs across chassis, powertrain, body, ADAS, and infotainment.

This hands-on role defines integration strategies, drives vehicle bring-up, and mentors engineers on software/hardware integration while testing in virtual environments and prototype vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive software or systems integration experience, vehicle-level scope preferred.
• Strong knowledge of embedded automotive ECUs across domains (chassis, powertrain, body, ADAS).

Responsibilities

• Lead vehicle-level software integration across all domains, ensuring compatibility of in-house and supplier ECUs.
• Define and manage integration strategies, test plans, and regression loops for pre- and post-merge releases.
• Own and operate prototype vehicle bring-up, including flashing, network validation (CAN/LIN/FlexRay/Ethernet), and feature smoke testing.
• Drive root-cause analysis of cross-domain software/hardware issues with domain teams and suppliers.
• Establish and maintain vehicle-level SIL/HIL environments for automated regression testing.
• Collaborate with Release Engineering to develop flashing, build, and logging pipelines.
• Define and maintain interface specifications across domains.
• Travel to proving grounds and remote test sites as needed.
