Join an agile, self-motivated team of engineers responsible for developing and implementing advanced vehicle protection systems for ground combat vehicles. This position supports the delivery of Vehicle Protection System (VPS) products to Ground Combat Platforms, covering requirements, architecture, technology assessment, integration, and testing. It is an engineering role that executes guidance from platform Chief Engineer, Systems Engineering Manager, and functional management. VPS technology includes Active Protection Systems (APS), Signature Management, pre-shot detection systems, Counter UAS technology, Laser warning systems, and their ancillary processing, sensing, and countermeasure technology.

Responsibilities

The role involves:

• Exercising authority and responsibility for VPS products and tasks, ensuring integrated, compliant designs across vehicle systems.
• Planning, executing, and coordinating development, integration, and testing activities.
• Developing and managing system requirements, interface allocations, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinating requirements, architectures, and system designs, managing changes and trade-offs.
• Conducting trade studies and supporting system impact assessments.
• Overseeing verification plans and managing their execution, including testing and field verification.
• Leading troubleshooting, problem resolution, and review activities.
• Participating in design reviews, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related science
• Minimum 5 years' experience
• Experience leading small engineering projects and teams
• Enthusiasm for military vehicle development
• Ability to interpret and flow down customer requirements
• Experience in developing and managing system-level VPS requirements
• Hardware, mechanical, and software troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%)

Additional Information / Desired Experience

• Eligibility for US security clearance (non-US citizens may not qualify)
• Experience with ground combat vehicle development is preferred
• Ability to work around military vehicles, pass ASR tests, and work in various environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work occasional overtime and limited travel
