A leading company is seeking a Map Program System Engineer to develop a digital hub for child care options. This remote position involves technical design, cloud server maintenance, and collaboration with stakeholders to enhance user experience. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in Linux, SQL, and cloud technologies.

Work schedule: Normal business hours Monday-Friday 40 hours/week (not including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hrs.)

Rate: $70 to $80 per hour
The goal of this project is to create a single digital hub for families to learn about their child care options and find child care for their children aged 5 and below. The hub will also support child care providers by sharing information on how to begin and continue providing child care services to New Yorkers. The hub will include relevant content and features such as a detailed screening process for parents, referrals section, information about available childcare services, and a unified map/provider services locator of child care providers.
The System Engineer, working with internal and external stakeholders, will support the entire lifecycle of the application.
The System Engineer is a strategic member responsible for ensuring that the digital hub functions smoothly across various systems and platforms. This position reports to the Office of Data Analytics (ODA) DevOps and collaborates closely with the Innovation Team in the Mayor’s Office to improve the digital experience of child care access for New Yorkers. The System Engineer will coordinate the infrastructure details to support the applications from initial design through testing and deployment.
