Job summary

Intertek’s automotive testing lab in Kentwood, Michigan is seeking a Vehicle Test Fit Technician – Autobody. You will test fit body panels and lighting systems, evaluate fit and function, and document results in a fast-paced, clean environment.

Requirements include at least a high school diploma, the ability to attain ASE Certification, and 2+ years of auto collision repair or service technician experience. Strong communication, organizational and multitasking skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possession of ASE Certification preferred or attainable.
• 2+ years as auto collision repair/service tech or similar.

Responsibilities

• Test fit body panels and lighting systems on vehicles; evaluate fit, appearance and functionality.
• Comment on fit, appearance and functional comparison.
• Accurately complete documentation.
• Provide input to management, customers and others as requested.
• Organize daily workload; communicate turnaround time and status.
• Meet project, department and customer deadlines.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Transport vehicles or parts to/from the laboratory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
